Cross-Cultural Summer Exchange Opportunity!
EF Educational Homestay Programs a non-profit organization, is seeking interested families to host Spanish, Russian, French, Taiwanese, and Austrian High School students arriving to the Elk Grove and Sacramento area this summer for a 3 ½ weeks to have Northern California experience! All of the students will be here from July 7th –Aug. 2nd. Students are supervised by EF staff weekdays with students attending English language and American culture lessons at VHS center in the morning. They attend organized cultural activities in the afternoons with all afternoon transportation provided by EF. Host families are invited to join us in these activities!
Host families are asked to open their homes and hearts with a place at the table, an available bed, and transportation to and from the course center. Students do not need their own room. EF can provide a temporary bed for a host family that has the space, but is in need of an extra bed. A network of host families is developing to coordinate car-pooling to and from the school every day if needed. This network additionally enjoys the camaraderie of summer time BBQs, trips to the beach etc., to heighten the cultural exchange and community experience our programs create. Students speak English, come fully insured, and bring their own spending money.
